Retired MLB star turned coach Walt Weiss is hoping to knock it out of the park with the sale of his Colorado home. This month, the baseball legend re-listed the butte-colored mansion for $2 million. The Atlanta Braves coach has had the expansive Castle Rock property on and off the market since 2012.
With 35 acres of lush acreage, the 10,668-square-foot mansion is given a marvelous setting. Within, the five-bedroom home is distinguished by its warm execution, and its expansive entertainment spaces.
Visitors enter to a grand double-height formal living room accented with a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace and a wall of windows. A gourmet kitchen with an island and stainless steel appliances, a spacious formal dining room, and a spacious basement recreation room complete with an indoor batting cage are a few highlights of this house.
Additionally, the property is (unsurprisingly) graced with a full-sized baseball field. A basketball court and a swimming pool with a hot tub present more opportunities for fair-weather recreating.
