The Ferrari 488 Pista boasts the most powerful eight-cylinder Ferrari engine in production. Fertile ground for a Novitec, the German tuning shop that specializes in artfully altering Ferraris for the greater good. The shop recently introduced its special Sports Package designed specifically for the 488 Pista, and it looks characteristically tasteful.
Novitec likes to unlock the hidden potential in the average Ferrari. Now, that might seem like gilding the lily, but the addition of 81 horsepower and 94 pound-feet of torque from the 3.9-liter V8 setup make for a potent argument otherwise.
And, the results delivered by the German shop don’t disappoint. The performance-enhancing modifications boost power production of 791 hp and 662 lb-ft of torque. All that oomph results in a zero-to-62 mph leap of just 2.7 seconds matched with a top speed of 214 mph.
Beyond an increase in power, drivers of the Novitec-updated 488 Pista will enjoy the addition of several naked-carbon fiber bodywork additions, smoked accents, Pirelli P Zero high-performance tires, and a new hydraulic suspension system.
