‘Captain Marvel’ star Brie Larson has moved on from her Los Angeles-area home. The Oscar-winning actress accepted an offer of $2.17 million for the property. She picked up place for $2.25 million roughly three years ago.
The modern bungalow is classic Laurel Canyon: bohemian, individualistic, urbane, rustic. Updates can be spotted in flooring materials, as well as kitchen and baths, but the 2,900 square-footer remains a hip 1960’s-inspired and creativity-inducing space.
The three-bedroom home’s combination living and dining space stands out thanks to its wood-clad ceilings accented with white beams and skylights. The living room flows without interruption to the stylish galley kitchen clad with white cabinetry and dark countertops.
The midcentury design sensibility converts to an abundance of natural light. Skylights liberate from above, and rectangular panes are stacked and used as clerestories. An entire wall of glass panels and sliders opens from the combination space to the courtyard-style backyard.
Outdoor space is a premium, but the property includes a patio amid the landscaping, which is nicely variegated, and eco-conscious to boot.
Larson took home a Best Actress statuette for her role in 2015’s ‘Room.’
