British pop star Mel B has finally found a buyer for her Los Angeles-area home. In the end, she accepted an offer of $5.5 million for the unbelievably slick, four-floor house.
Unfortunately for the Spice Girls singer and her ex-husband Stephen Belafonte, the final selling price is quite a bit lower than their original $8.995 million asking price. The duo also put a fair amount into the place, giving it a serious renovation that modernized it throughout.
The modern-style was first constructed in 1928, but underwent a major redesign in 2016. Now very contemporary in style, the 4,600-square-foot home features spacious entertainment areas flooded with natural light, an excellent sense of space, and a moody, atmospheric living style.
The four-bedroom, 5.5-bath home’s central gathering space is the large living room with its soaring ceilings, custom wall paneling and marble fireplace. Right around the corner is the formal dining room, but there’s also room in the kitchen for casual dining. The large galley-style kitchen is especially worthy of attention: here, minimalist custom cabinetry and fleet of stainless steel appliances set a fine sense of scale.
The exterior living space features an al fresco dining area with a built-in barbeque, a swimming pool with a spa, and abundant terrace and patio space.
