Italian motorcycle brand Ducati is celebrating the 25th birthday of the now-classic 916. And it’s good to see the bike that helped define the 90’s European sport style back again. Ducati calls the model the 25th Anniversario 916. It is based on the Panigale V4 S.

The special edition 916 keeps to form, but of course updates in key areas, including cosmetics. The limited-edition build features white-on-red bodywork and a Ducati Corse-spec front frame. The look is complete with Shell logos and #1 plates in honor of Carl “Foggy” Fogarty’s 90s-era races.

The racer also boasts a host of flashy components that really flesh out the sport look, including carbon fiber mudguards, a racing screen, an Akrapovic silencer, and magnesium forged Marsechini wheels. Avid devotees of classic Ducati will appreciate the inclusion of a dry clutch, with a carbon fiber cover to give it a little contempo flash.

Only 500 examples of the 25th Anniversario 916 will be built, but they won’t come cheap. The limited-ed model will sell for ~$47K.
