Luxury automaker McLaren just introduced its new high-end line of sunglasses.
The British supercar builder partnered with L’Amy Group to develop the ‘Vision Collection’; a variety of sunglasses designs crafted from some of the best materials available.
Titanium was used for all model frames. Titanium is very lightweight, and very strong, so the line of accessories is mishap-resistant. French optical specialist L’Amy utilized innovative technologies like 3D printing and combined it with advanced lens design: the collection includes five Leica Eyecare sun lens options complete with oleophobic, hydrophobic, and AquaDura Vision anti-reflective coatings.
Wearers can select from five lenses designed for various activities, so driving isn’t the only usage profile for the slick shades; golfing, sailing, skiing, and casual city life are also accounted for. Customers can even opt for bespoke designs created with specialized face-scanning technology and fit with prescription lenses.
McLaren’s Vision Collection is available ranging from $323 to $2,009.
