Actors Genie Francis and Jonathan Frakes are hoping to move on from their San Fernando Valley home with $3.995 million in their collective pocket.
The “General Hospital” star and her “Star Trek: The Next Generation” actor husband paid $2.8 million for the Woodland Hills home about two years ago. The pair quickly subjected the six-bedroom home to comprehensive renovation.
Spanning 8,909 square feet, the luxe residence is situated in a gated community. The facade of the house is an imposing mix of contemporary and traditional, while the interiors boast a light and airy aesthetic.
European oak floors run throughout much of the home’s common area; plentiful glass and high ceilings enhance the sense of space. A central fireplace and dramatic coffered ceilings are other prominent interior features.
The foyer features a grand crystal chandelier, while a curving staircase and a second-floor gallery suggest opening and invitation. The spacious formal dining room is accented with a bank of bay windows, and the study/office boasts detailed paneling, built-in shelving, and another fireplace. The gourmet kitchen features white cabinetry, a massive waterfall center island, and stainless steel appliances; it’s a large space, with room for a sunny breakfast spot.
The outdoor living area is as ideal for entertaining as the interior of the home. In addition to boasting a lush swath of lawn, the backyard also boasts patio space, a gazebo, a fire pit, and a swimming pool with a spa.
