Businessman Byron Allen recently purchased a very formal Beverly Hills mansion for $19.9 million.

The Entertainment Studios CEO’s new traditional-meets-contemporary digs were designed by popular architect Ken Ungar. Spanning 11,300 square feet, the Beverly Hills Flats neighborhood home features exterior architecture that highlights grandiosity and symmetry.

The interiors begin with a grand, double-height foyer; a curving staircase, plenty of detailed molding, light oak floors, and a statement-piece modern chandelier set the tone for the rest of the house. Matte-finished pale oak flooring flows through to the formal living room with a fireplace and the adjacent formal dining space.

Further inside, the family room wows with a fireplace and an entire wall of French doors opening to a loggia. The family room flows seamlessly past the wet bar to the gourmet kitchen accented with swathes of marble and stainless steel appliances.

The spacious home features a lengthy series of amenities, including a basement lounge fit with another wet bar, a wine closet, a home theater, and a gym. The grounds feature controlled landscaping, a lush green lawn, patio space, and a swimming pool.
