Retired NFL quarterback turned football coach Trent Dilfer is looking to part with his Austin villa for $2.75 million.
The Mediterranean-style home is situated in a house-selling spot: it’s set right on the banks of Lake Travis. The exterior architecture melds traditional Italian and postmodern styles.
The interiors span some 6,700 square feet, making it expansive enough for abundant breathing room, but still very manageable. The common areas are open-concept, and the living spaces offer lovely lake views.
The home begins with a stacked stone entryway with high archways; the layout then transitions to the formal dining space. The dining room flows seamlessly into the great room-style main living area with soaring beamed ceilings, a central fireplace, and French doors facing the lake.
The living room and casual dining space open to the gourmet kitchen. The latter features a marvelous sense of scale and classic/contemporary kitchen design overtones, with a massive square center island, custom cabinetry, and high-end appliances.
Another casual dining space opens directly to the patio, where two outdoor kitchens and a reflection pool await.
Dilfer was instrumental in bringing the Baltimore Ravens to victory at Super Bowl XXXV. He spent much of his career in Tampa Bay and Seattle, and retired from professional play in 2008.
