Superstar rapper/producer Dr. Dre recently dropped $2.25 million on a Pacific Palisades home. The new acquisition in the musician and businessman’s portfolio is a slick modern Mediterranean-style perched on a hillside in a high-end gated community.

Originally built in 1997, the 3,100-square-foot home has seen a comprehensive modern update that brings a moody gray color palette, wide-plank dark oak floors, and contemporary fixtures to bear on the living style.

The four-bedroom home welcomes visitors via double doors to a formal living space and a formal dining room. As the layout progresses, the main living area opens up to a spacious open-concept space, and a kitchen complete with a small dayroom dining area.
