Actor Stephen Dorff recently moved on from his Malibu home. Dorff—who appears alongside Mahershala Ali in the most recent season of “True Detective”—collected $7.5 million on his way out the door of the late modern beach house.
The home is located in La Costa Beach. It was built in 1968 by Buff & Hensman, features three bedrooms and three baths, and spans 2,400 square feet. Its exterior stands out among other light and bright beach homes, with dark wood and cedar shingles giving it an individualistic appeal.
Inside, the home distinguishes itself with light and a nice sense of scale: floor-to-ceiling windows, a double-height entry and a step-down living room with a fireplace give it an openness that culminates in the dining area, presided over by a two-story wall of windows. Wood paneling, dark tile, and shag carpet augment the period feel.
The setting is lovely, and classic Malibu: the property is set on 40 feet of ocean frontage.
Aside from his current role in HBO”s critically-acclaimed flagship original series, Dorff has appeared in features “The Power of One” and “Blade.”
