Luxury automotive tuner Brabus recently reimagined the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe as a mightily dark horse.

Dubbed the Brabus 800, the sleek and sporty four-door coupe has received a significant tune-up. As a result of Brabus’ ministrations, the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine now produces 800 horsepower and 737 pound-feet of torque. In case you’re keeping track, the boost brings the vehicle’s rating up 161 hp and 74 lb-ft of torque.

With the additional power to call on, the sporty coupe can now sprint from zero to 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds; Brabus shaved off a full two seconds off the production GT’s time. Much of the improvement comes as a result of the two larger Brabus turbochargers.

The vehicle also received an exterior upgrade with the addition of plenty of carbon fiber. Devout followers of Mercedes-AMG will notice the addition of a new front spoiler, rear fascia diffuser insert, and rear bumper inserts.

Naturally, several strategically placed Brabus logos complete the look of the superpowered Brabus 800, leaving no doubt on the subject of the Gothic-toned GT’s provenance.
