It was less than a year ago that Porsche breathed new life into the latent 935 model name. The unveiling in Laguna last September both referenced the automaker’s racing heritage and gave the company’s contemporary image a shot of track cred. This spring, Porsche is back with a reinforcing entry, or rather seven of them: a series of 935 Clubsport models with classic racing liveries.
The sporty carbon-fiber-accented Clubsport uses the 911 GT2 RS as a foundation, a perfect canvas for all seven snappy outfits. The Gulf-themed livery boasts the familiar light blue paintwork accented with bright orange. Others feature a minty turquoise hue paired with finishes in red, purple, and yellow.
The John Player Special black livery looks particularly arresting, with gleaming gold highlights, a blue Sachs model, a Momo Racing theme in bold red and yellow hues, and a black-and-orange Interscope livery. And the Salzburg-themed model comes in red and white.
Porsche only plans to build 77 examples of the new 935.
