Former House of Representatives member Michele Bachmann recently accepted an offer of $945,000 for her French country-style Minnesota manse.
Bachmann—and her husband Marcus—purchased the West Lakeland home for $760,000 back in 2008. The pair appear to no longer need a large residence, but they’ll likely miss the beautiful four-bedroom, 3.5-bath Euro-rustic estate.
Spanning 5,420 square feet, the traditional home is set on 2.75 acres of lush land. The property abuts the Stone Ridge Golf Club’s 18th hole.
Visitors are welcomed to a light and airy great room complete with a formal dining room. The great room includes a formal living space with a fireplace, and a gourmet kitchen with marble counters and an eat-in center island. The main living spaces are accented with light walnut flooring, and plenty of oversize windows looking out to the St. Croix Valley.
The layout also includes a bright sunroom, a wood-paneled den, a family room with a fireplace, a wine cellar, and a wet bar. Outside, an al fresco dining space, a fire pit, a dance floor, and a hot tub present ample opportunities for warm-weather entertaining and relaxing.
