Those who are disappointed about McLaren selling out of the 600LT Coupe will be happy to hear that the automaker is now accepting orders for its long-tail Spider variant.
Available starting at $256,500, the McLaren LT Spider is the convertible version of the striking limited-edition supercar that auto-lovers have flocked to. Buyers can expect to see the same carbon-fiber Monocell II chassis in the sporty, sleek design.
However, unlike the Coupe, the Spider’s stylized body is capped with a three-piece retractable hardtop roof. Drivers can operate the hardtop while driving at up to 25 mph.
The Spider receives the same 3.8-liter twin turbo V8 as the coupe; the engine produces 582 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque. This supercar can sprint from zero to 60 mph in only 2.8 seconds.
Interested buyers should act quickly to reserve their 600LT Spider. Like other limited-edition McLaren variants, it won’t be available for very long.
