French fashion designer Hedi Slimane recently listed his stunning Beverly Hills modern home for $17 million.

The creative director for Celine purchased the 4,562 square-footer in Trousdale Estates for $4.1 million back in 2009. And he invested a considerable amount of time and money to bring the home’s interior and exterior living spaces up to his standards.

Potential buyers will immediately notice Slimane’s influence on the home’s design when entering the spacious main living area. Divided in half by a double-sided fireplace, the open-concept space features walls of retractable glass panels offering incredible views of Century City beyond. The modern design continues through to the gourmet kitchen and each of the five bedrooms and six bathrooms.

The architecture is classic mid-century. Tall ceilings, swathes of glass walls, and clean, modern accents. Terrazzo features heavily, and exposed steel finished black provides dramatic contrast.

Outside, minimalist styling is also on display with a spacious deck, swimming pool, and fire pit all surrounded by a collection of mature palms.

Slimane was formerly creative director at Dior Homme and Yves Saint Laurent.
