Kaley Cuoco has listed her 6-bedroom, 8.5-bath Mediterranean contemporary-style home in Tarzana for sale. The actress is asking $6.9 million for the sizeable property. The home was formerly owned by Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The house was built in 2003; at nearly 8,000 square feet, it’s fairly large. The exterior is warm, with stucco walls, wrought iron, and quite a bit of glass. An ambitious crawling vine has occupied the lower level exterior.
The interiors begin with a rotunda foyer with marble tile floors; a staircase with marble steps and a wrought iron balustrade follows the wall to the second floor. Contemporary wall covering and a daring chandelier are unusual choices, and prevent the first impression from straying too far into the comfortably familiar. The home opens up via step-down shared living spaces from the point of entry.
The beige marble steps and tiles remain a constant, but otherwise this home avoids fulfilling expectations. The emphasis is on flashy materials and a multitude of competing textures and patterns. Fireplaces in marble or stacked stone, a wet bar, and plenty of natural light through the extensive use of glass are highlights.
The kitchen and dayroom deserve special mention—here, the restless use of textures and patterns reaches a fever pitch. An adventurous approach, and one which could preclude the necessity of drinking caffeine in the morning.
The property is, again, quite large—three-quarters of an acre. The lot features mature privacy hedges, and is landscaped tropical, with a pool and sunlounge, and a covered outdoor living and dining area with a summer kitchen and bar providing ample entertainment potential for larger gatherings.
