Joe Walsh—of Eagles fame—has listed his Beverly Hills Post Office mansion for $5.3 million.
The Grammy-award winning singer-songwriter/guitarist…and one-time presidential candidate…purchased the Los Angeles-area contemporary for $3.95 million in August 2013 as a temporary residence. He needed a place to hang his hat while his other Beverly Hills home underwent a comprehensive, multi-year overhaul.
This home, too, benefited from a significant renovation, but a few years ago; the revisions date to before the musician’s 2013 purchase. The residence was first constructed in 1966 as a midcentury modern.
Most vestiges of midcentury style have vanished in favor of a thoughtfully executed contemporary feel, though. The great room boasts an all-white kitchen with an eat-in peninsula, a dedicated dining space, and a living room with its modern fireplace and wall of retractable glass panels.
The three-bedroom home also features a media room, an office, a large music studio, and a luxurious master suite that opens to the backyard. Outdoor living spaces include a covered terrace and a swimming pool with a spa.
Walsh has been a rock-and-roll stalwart for forty years. His fiery, unique guitar style helps keep the Eagles flying.
