Writer and actress Lena Dunham is hoping her Brooklyn condo speaks to potential buyers the second time around. Naturally, the ask has been trimmed, which should help it find an ear receptive to its whispered charms.
Dunham has set a listing price of $2.6 million for the home this time around. That’s not too far from the price of late last year; the “Girls” creator originally listed the Williamsburg condo for $3 million in November.
The 1,987 square foot unit is located in the charming Gretsch Building, which has a unique history of its own. The 12-story building once served as the instrument factory that made the guitars for stylists Chet Atkins and Eddie Cochran. It was converted by architect Karl Fischer into residential lofts in the mid-2000s.
The unit itself was transformed by interior designer David Bers. Light and airy, the all-white aesthetic makes the open-concept living room and kitchen look much larger than it really is, and it boasts incredible views of the Manhattan skyline. The three-bedroom, 2.5-bath unit features 13-foot ceilings, contemporary-yet-minimalist accents, and a marble-filled master bathroom.
Dunham is no longer in need of the Brooklyn pad, having recently moved to the West Village.
