Hot on the heels of his trade to the Blue Jays and a move to a cooler clime, MLB pitcher Clay Buchholz has listed his Lake Travis, Texas, mansion for $2.495 million.

Buchholz—who has played for the Diamondbacks, Phillies, and Red Sox—paid $2.875 million for the character-filled home back in 2013. The place has been on and off the market since 2016, and it looks like it will likely sell at a loss.

The 7,842-square-foot residence is located on 1.8 acres outside of Austin. Built in 2008, the home holds five bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms, and features cavernous living spaces; the topper is a double-height formal living room with a stone accent wall.

The grand living space flows seamlessly to the kitchen with its white cabinetry, massive center island, and direct access to the formal dining area. A billiards room with soaring ceilings, a wet bar, and a wine cooler is an extravagant addition, as is the grand home cinema.

There are plenty of beautiful lake views from the two terraces,  and the backyard, too. The property is sylvan and heavily landscaped, with a loggia, swimming pool with spa, and a basketball court included amid mature trees, plantings, and stone walls.
