Mercedes-AMG‘s GLC 63 and GLC 63 S have received a considerable upgrade for the 2020 model lineup. All 2020 models will receive this upgrade, which includes cosmetic improvements, a new driving mode, and updated tech.
Those watching the goings-on at this year’s Geneva Motor Show might’ve checked out the improved GLC, and registered how Mercedes-AMG has further evolved this luxuriant paragon of brevity. The addition of MBUX might’ve attracted attention as well; the integrated, connected system makes easy work of cabin controls.
The biturbo V8 hasn’t gone anywhere, but it’s been tweaked to produce 503 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. The 63 S Coupe recently fared very well at the Nürburgring, completing the course with a solid lap time of 7.49.369 minutes. The standard GLC 63 is no slouch, either, producing 467 hp and 497 lb-ft of torque.
The model’s exterior has been softened somewhat, and looks a little less abrupt than previous incarnations. Accent flourishes include Iridium Silver inside and out, and new interior custom options include a Magma Grey tonal scheme; the Black Nappa leather with yellow topstitching looks great when paired with the new Graphite Gray Metallic exterior paint.
The new GLC 63 and GLC 63 S will be in showrooms late in the year.
