Married WWE wrestlers Mike Mizanin and Maryse Ouellet Mizanin recently listed their stylish Austin, TX, home for $2.75 million.
Interestingly, the “Miz & Mrs.” stars only owned the European-style farmhouse for a little over a year before putting the home back on the market. Considering the pair is expecting their second child in just two years, they may be looking for something more family-friendly. Or it could’ve been a quick flip. Space certainly isn’t the issue; the home spans 7,770 square feet, and contains five bedrooms.
If ‘old world charm’ is a trope as well as a cliche, this home qualifies. It’s very warm and extremely inviting, with hardwood, tile, and sweeping lines. Luxe details include arched windows, two-story ceilings, and stone accenting.
The great room gets a lot of attention in the photos below, and with good reason: it is the heart of the home, a grandiose but very appealing room, however heavily stylized. The cathedral-inspired living area features an entire wall of stone accenting, a grand fireplace, and two sets of French doors.
Rustic elegance continues through to the grand kitchen with its beamed ceiling, wood cabinetry, massive butler’s pantry, and two large islands. The estate is also ideal for entertaining friends, family, and kids thanks to the addition of a colorful playroom and a game room fit with a wet bar. Outside, a bocce ball court is a nifty and less usual recreational addition. A stone colonnade, landscaped gardens, and a swimming pool with spa round out the grounds.
