Former Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill has elected to list her Washinton D.C. penthouse for $3.2 million.

Following her unsuccessful 2018 re-election bid, the politician likely no longer needs a home located down the street from the White House. McCaskill and her husband Joseph Shepard paid $2.7 million for the condo in 2014. The two-bedroom, 2.5-bath condo extends to 1,700 square feet.

The unit is located at the top of a modern downtown building, and features a flashy, contemporary style in its execution. The main living space is flooded with natural light thanks to the floor-to-ceiling glass wall panels and sliding doors opening directly to the private terrace outside. Wide-plank white oak floors, custom cabinetry, and a ponderous brass chandelier define the space.

Most appealing is the 1,000-square-foot terrace, perfect for combining indoor-outdoor living spaces. The deck features a gas grill, a fire pit, and plenty of space for a dining table and lounge furniture.
