Nigel Lythgoe recently relisted his Lake Las Vegas mansion for $5 million. The ask represents a loss for the “American Idol” producer.

Lythgoe—who is also known for producing “So You Think You Can Dance”—paid $7 million for his residence in 2005.

Still, the fast-paced Vegas market might be more friendly this time around. The home comes across as a grandiose oasis in the desert landscape. It’s a 2002-built Mediterranean-style with plenty of glass, soaring ceilings, marble floors, a limestone fireplace, and the occasional pair of ornamental columns.

The house spans some 7,085 square feet, with five bedrooms throughout three floors; the master is huge, and features a private terrace and a massive walk-in closet. Oh, and the home has not one, but two large family rooms; one is designed for entertaining.

The glossy residence features plenty of high-end amenities like several balconies, an upper-floor gallery, and an elevator. The more formal living space wows with double-height ceilings, several large windows looking out to the lake, and a marble-topped bar.

The kitchen is equipped with plenty of prep space, a large central island, and a breakfast nook. But the most impressive feature is the property exterior which includes a lagoon-style pool and spa, outdoor bar and barbeque, lake views, and a boat dock.
