After a little more than two weeks on the market, Carrie Underwood’s Tennessee home may already have found a fan. The 7,100 square-footer is, at the time of writing, listed as available but contingent.
The house was priced to sell. Brentwood is a solid upmarket bedroom community located about ten minutes south of Nashville, and the house is fairly large. The exterior architecture is a bit self-consciously ‘aristocratic’ faux-Euro, but the interiors pack a lot of luxe style into the home’s three floors of living space.
Beige predominates throughout the home, although some soothing greens and grays sneak in here and there. Wood accents throughout dress things up a bit without adding any rusticity, although a wall dressed up with reclaimed wood adds texture. Flourishes include ornamental columns, period-style chandeliers, tray ceilings, and the occasional molding. A house that feels safe as houses: comfortable, if more than a bit predictable.
There are four bedrooms and six baths in the home. The two-level master is a beaut: a pure evocation of pleasing excess, with a spiral staircase descending from the walk-in closet to a first-floor, diva-ready sitting/dressing room, and glass double-doors opening onto the property; backstage, so to speak, and a feature certainly not seen every day. Other nifty creature comforts of the home include three wet bars.
The property measures a little more than half an acre. A stone patio looks out over the rolling landscape.
Underwood’s ‘Cry Pretty Tour 360’ launches in May, with a premier show in North Carolina.
