Actors Armie Hammer and Elizabeth Chambers Hammer recently dropped $4.7 million on a classic Los Angeles Tudor-style.
The home dates to the late 1920’s, and is located in L.A.’s iconic Hancock Park neighborhood. Its exterior architecture and landscaping strongly evoke its period.
The four-bedroom residence spans 6,300 square feet across three floors. It’s been heavily renovated, and now features a generally off-white interior style; much of that ponderous dark wood common to the style has been glossed over to give the living spaces a less moody feel. The exception is the dining room, where the original wood paneling remains as a testament to a more extravagant time.
The main living space features cavernous beamed ceilings, wall of windows, and floor-to-ceiling double-sided fireplace. On the other side of the living room is the office space that shares a fireplace with the living room.
A sunroom-style family room opens to the backyard, where the gated property is dotted with mature trees. Several flagstone terraces and a lagoon-style swimming pool and spa finish off this classic L.A.-area residential property.
Hammer starred in last year’s “On the Basis of Sex”; this year finds him in horror maven Babak Anvari newest flick, “Wounds.”
