Square founder and video game executive Masafumi Miyamoto has placed his Los Angeles-area estate on the market for $17 million.

Miyamoto scored the expansive Palso Verdes Estates property for $7.9 million back in 1996. The home spans 15,251 square feet, and features European-inflected exterior architecture.

The interiors of the nine-bedroom, 11-bath residence begin with a grand marble-clad entrance. All shared living spaces feature intricate detailing, with bronze, marble and wrought iron expressing a baroque sensibility. The centered staircase rises dramatically to flanking second-floor galleries, with a circular gallery looking down from the third floor. Columns capped with Corinthian design enhance the opulent living style.

Potential buyers will also take notice of the grand chandeliers in the foyer and dining room. Further inside, a massive gourmet kitchen is sized to handle large catered affairs, and features custom cabinetry, an abundance counter space, and two large islands.

The ballroom, game room, wine cellar, and lounge room with full-sized bar are just some of the amenities for R&R. Outside, the future owner will enjoy 1.25 acres of land accented with a dining patio, a cabana, a swimming pool, and a tennis court, all amid gardens and lushly landscaped grounds.
