An extravagant ranch estate near Santa Barbara hit the open market this week with gusto: the 3,500-acre property is listed at a stout $110 million.

3,500 acres is of course a massive parcel for this particular neck of the woods. The central coast’s geographical position makes it some of the most desirable real estate in the world. Carpinteria, Montecito, and Paso Robles wine country are all in the vicinity.

The property is called El Rancho Tajiguas, and it can be traced back to 18th-century Spanish king Carlos III. The homes—there are two, as well as numerous outbuildings—are somewhat newer; according to listing information, they date to 2015.

A cursory look inside one of the homes would belie the vintage. Exterior and interior architecture and design elements are strongly Colonial. The other house uses modern design a little bit more, but still errs on the side of potent period Spanish-style charm. There are at least ten bedrooms and 21 baths throughout all living spaces on the property.

The property’s astonishing series of exterior delights includes a persimmon orchard, as well as cattle range grassland, avocado groves, succulent plantings, gardens and, most importantly, space to roam. A helipad makes short work of a billionaire’s commute.

According to the WSJ, the property has been associated with French billionaire Mansour Ojjeh. Ojjeh is CEO of TAG, a holding company that owns a significant chunk of the McLaren Group.
