High-end automotive tuner Manhart Performance is showing off its design and performance chops in the most acute manner possible: by showing off their rather aggressively upgraded Lamborghini Urus.
Manhart usually likes the German classics, and have transformed many an Audi, Mercedes, and BMW to their own extroverted taste in the past. Taking on an Urus was a natural, though, as the sports SUV provides such a stunning platform for creative automaking.
The Urus rolls off the factory floor with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. Lamborghini’s powerful build produces 641 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque as a production car. Thanks to Manhart’s detailed ministrations, the super-powered SUV makes 801 horses and 723 lb-ft of torque. The tuner opted to add more free-flowing turbochargers and a special sports exhaust system to boost airflow, all of which converts to more juice in the fun pedal.
And what can this tuned Urus do for you, the driver? Well, it can sprint from zero to 62 mph in just 3.6 seconds. Not bad for an SUV. And Manhart also gave the powerful SUV a new look, with new carbon fiber components and a black stripe on bright yellow color scheme, so it’ll get more than a few double-takes as it blows down the highway.
