NBA power forward Blake Griffin recently listed his East Coast-style Los Angeles-area mansion for $10.995 million.
Griffin made the switch from the L.A. Clippers to the Detroit Pistons last year, so it looks like he’s no longer in need of his Pacific Palisades residence. The pro basketball player originally purchased the home six years ago for around $9 million.
The house features Cape Cod architecture, and contains 6 bedrooms, seven baths, and plenty of entertaining space in its 9,600 square feet. The three-story manse welcomes via double doors and a grand 24-foot-tall foyer, where a curving staircase and contemporary chandelier help set the stage.
From the foyer, visitors have access to a spacious open floorplan replete with appealing accents, including white millwork and dark hardwood floors. Differing ceiling designs help give the interiors room-to-room definition, but the strength of the home lies in its wide-open shared living space, which emphasizes breathing room above all else.
Complete with a variety of high-end features, the kitchen features custom cabinetry, top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances, and a massive eat-in center island presided over by a pair of period-industrial pendants. The adjacent family room features dramatic coffered ceilings, built-in shelves, and a central fireplace. Amenities include a game room, a home movie theater, and a gym.
The outdoor living space is protected by some fairly impressive privacy landscaping, with walls of green giving the pool area a pleasingly secretive appeal. A summer kitchen, a patio, a lush lawn, and a half-court fill out the property.
Six-time NBA All-Star Griffin spent eight seasons with the Clippers. He was traded to the Pistons last year.
