A condo unit owned by the late Sen. John McCain has come up for sale. The unit is situated in downtown Phoenix, and is priced at $3.1 million.

At over 6,500 square feet, the unit is quite large, and uses its space for a pleasing sense of breathing room at every opportunity. The living style is expressed mainly in desert tones; beige and pale wood, with warm off-white walls and ceilings, although in the kitchen and baths cooler accents add a little complexity.

The unit contains five bedrooms and six baths. The master suite gets a considerable amount of the available space, and features generously proportioned bedroom with a two-sided fireplace, a and a walk-in closet with extensive storage. The master bath is quite large, with a very long double vanity and a centerpiece soaking tub.

The residence also features an office and a media room/library, and a great room large enough for entertaining. For outdoor living space, the condo features several terraces with views of the mountains and the cityscape.

The unit is located in the Residences at 2211, in the Biltmore neighborhood. The building features a rooftop pool and fitness center, as well as a concierge and 24-hour security, and conference and entertainment spaces.

McCain passed away last summer at the age of 81. The Senator from Arizona and his wife Cindy lived in Phoenix and Sedona for over thirty years.
