Singer-songwriter Cody Simpson sold his Los Angeles-area townhouse this week, accepting an offer of $1.35 million for the property.
The Australian musician paid $1.18 million for the Los Angeles-area residence in 2015. The property took a year to sell, but eventually went under contract for just $45,000 under its last asking price.
The two-bedroom, 2.5-bath townhouse spans 1,839 square feet, and is one of six boxy units in a gated complex. Simpson had it renovated to his taste, upgrading the plain-jane unit with a bit of luxury flair, and a bit of bohemian character.
The unit now features mid-tone hardwood flooring, a sleek fireplace in the living room, and a fairly open-concept main entertaining space. Beyond the step-down living room is the contemporary kitchen, which features a moodily cool tonal execution: gray cabinetry and granite countertops.
One of the home’s best features is the amount of outdoor living space. In all, there four exterior living areas to choose from, including a rooftop deck, a balcony off the master suite, a dining terrace, and a ground-floor patio.
Simpson was discovered on YouTube in the early 2010’s.
