MLB star Stephen Strasburg has pitched his San Diego home on the market for $1.349 million.
The All-Star Nationals pitcher purchased the Southern California residence for $1.24 million back in 2010, a not-bad price for a contemporary Spanish-style in San Diego.
The house fits right in with contemporary regional tastes, though. Spanning 3,570 square feet with four bedrooms and five bathrooms, the two-story abode’s exterior stands out with swaths of red clay tiles and other classic Spanish touches.
Inside, potential buyers will likely be drawn to the spacious open-concept living room with a fireplace that flows to the kitchen, where dark cabinetry, granite countertops, a large center island, and a collection of stainless steel appliances awaits. Mid-tone hardwood floors span the first floor, moving from the kitchen through to the breakfast nook and the formal dining room.
Outdoors, the 2003-built dwelling is accented with lush exterior landscaping, a courtyard with a fountain, and a flagstone patio complete with a fireplace lounge.
In 2017, Olympic medal-winning Strasburg joined the Nationals for the long hall, extending his contract by 7 years for $175 million in paychecks.
He’s looking for a bigger house.
