German camera manufacturer Leica recently unveiled its newest limited-edition build, the M10-P “Safari” Edition.
The high-end company knows how to cash in on its styling. The special edition M Series stands out with an olive green body color accented with silver knobs and components; a collector or an enthusiast could spot it from across the street. The matte finish augments the classic Leica utilitarianism beautifully.
This isn’t the first time Leica has created a Safari style build, though. Leica made similarly styled shooters for military use, and they became quite popular with consumers in the late 1970s. The M10-P Safari Edition is sure to garner similar interest, but it’s limited to just 1,500 examples.
The model variation comes with a carrying strap and a leather SD/credit card holder. Serious photogs will also be pleased with the brand’s new companion Summicron-M 50 mm f/2 Edition “Safari” lens in a matching olive green finish. $8,450.
