Interior designer and reality TV star Bobby Berk recently picked up a Los Angeles contemporary for $1.4 million.
The “Queer Eye” personality’s new house is located in the Franklin Hills area. Following a substantial rebuild, the 1,600-square-foot residence was in high demand; Berk had to shell out $200,000 over the original ask to call it home.
Set high above the street, the gray ultra-modern features three bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Inside, a light and airy aesthetic predominates, with open-concept living spaces given a bright treatment. The main living area is a great room-style combination living and dining room.
The living room features a wall of floor-to-ceiling glass accordion doors leading to a balcony with views of the hills. Right off of the living room is the all-white kitchen with floor-to-ceiling cabinetry, a large center island, and a corner window; the space is optimistic and boasts extraordinary potential.
The master suite gets a white bathroom and walk-in closet. The home’s rooftop terrace provides lovely views of the canyon, downtown skyline, and Griffith Park Observatory.
“Queer Eye” took home three Emmy Awards last year.
