Retired MLB infielder Plácido Polanco is hoping to catch the right buyer for his Pinecrest, Florida home.
The three-time Gold Glove winner paid $920,000 for the empty lot in 2014 before building his customized, contemporary-Mediterranean manse. The home spans 7,053 square feet with six bedrooms, six bathrooms, and two half-baths. It is listed at $4.35 million.
The modern home received many a high-end feature, including stone and marble finishes, contemporary designer accents, and 24-foot-high ceilings. The main living space’s soaring ceilings, walls of glass windows and sliders, and statement-making fireplace are defining elements of a living style which emphasizes scale, finish, and understated textures.
The expansive kitchen is a caterer’s dream, and continues the home’s moody, subdued look with dark cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, and a pair of islands. All the main living spaces provide easy access to the backyard and a large covered patio for an indoor-outdoor flow.
The groomed landscaping of the property exterior boasts feng shui water features and a large entertaining space with a fire pit and a kitchen. A putting green, a cabana, a spa, and a pair of swimming pools fill out the grounds.
Polanco started in two MLB All-Star games. He ended his career with the Miami Marlins, finishing in 2016.
