Andre Berto, a two-time former welterweight world champion, listed his Beverly Hills contemporary for $8.995 million this week. The two-fisted athlete’s residence is a recent build that boasts a refined design style and a fair amount of warmth.
The home dates to 2016, and contains 4,900 square feet of living space. A first impression of the exterior reveals a few comfortably familiar flourishes, with industrial-influenced balustrades, Japanese-inflected cues, and a boxy execution.
Inside, the five-bedroom, seven-bathroom residence sports wide-plank wood floors, 12-foot-high ceilings, and plenty of large windows/glass sliders. A staircase with a solid glass balustrade and an extravagant, futuro-style galley kitchen are highlights of the shared living spaces. The open-concept living area boasts a series of flanking clerestory windows for a little liberation, and a living-room fireplace brings a bit of coziness to the concept.
Exterior living spaces include an upper-story terrace that spans the width of the home, and is set up for lounging or entertaining. A lush lawn, a swimming pool, and a spa fill out the grounds.
Two-time world champion Berto has 24 KOs under his belt. He defeated Devon Alexander in August.
