Celebrity designer pair Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent recently listed their newest Los Angeles-area project for sale. The renovators are looking for $13.795 million for the home.

The historic residence is located in the high-end Hancock Park neighborhood. It measures 8,477 square feet, and contains six bedrooms. It begins with a double-height entry, transitioning into main living spaces that are light and bright, and feature neutral accents and some era-specific antique finishes.

The house bears the stamp of the duo: a strong period style given a tasteful overhaul that favors a blazing, empty-canvas execution favoring a new owner’s customization.  The 1928-built Italianate features period details that shine through a general survey of non-contemporary stylistic cues; the coffered ceiling in the dining room is unusually evocative of its period, but the kitchen has been given a strong Euro country-house treatment that looks extremely engineered, and a few rustic touches are evident. The hand-selected marble of the master bath’s shower is stunning.

Outside, the property features extensive living space, including a dining loggia, and an open-air pavilion. Outdoor fireplaces, and a large swimming pool and spa, and superb tile work all commend.

The “Nate & Jeremiah by Design” stars paid fellow celebrity—”Friends” creator Marta Kauffman—$8.185 million for the home two years ago.
