Comedian Adam Carolla recently picked up a new Los Angeles-area property for $7.327 million. The podcast host purchased the house in La Cañada Flintridge following the listing of his existing property in the same area, moving on from a mid-century style to this contemporary.
The 2013-built Vaughan Trammell-designed home is located at the end of a cul-de-sac; it spans 7,300 square feet and contains five bedrooms. The exterior architecture shows angularity, a few Japanese tropes, and a prominent set of second-floor series windows in the rear. The front of the home boasts a second-floor balcony with a strong industrial-inspired balustrade.
Inside, an open-concept living space is accented by elements like hardwood floors, stone walls, the series clerestories, and extra-large picture windows. The center of the home is a living space featuring vaulted ceilings, an ultra-modern fireplace, and a wall of retractable glass panels that create an indoor-outdoor living area. Opening from the living room is a spacious modern kitchen with plenty of counter space, custom cabinetry, high-end appliances, and large center island.
Additional amenities like a movie theater and a wine cellar tick off two essentials on the creature-comfort checklist. The property exterior checks off a few more: a grill, two fire pits, a viewing deck, and an infinity-edge swimming pool and spa fill out the lot.
