This week, Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova listed their brand-new, custom-built home in Miami for sale for $4.85 million. The property is located about a block from Bay Point, and a short walk from the Intracoastal Waterway. It was built for Kournikova’s grandparents, but ended up being a little too big.
The home’s architecture is French-influenced Caribbean-style, although the exterior is fairly plain. Within, the home features fixed-pane windows; there isn’t a huge amount of glass in the design, but foldable glass walls open broadly onto the outdoor living space from the living room, and the master bedroom—one of six bedrooms in the home—features a set of single-pane French doors. The living room fits a full wet bar into its layout comfortably, giving the house a relaxed feel, and the living spaces a lounge-ready quality.
The kitchen features custom-built cabinetry and top-flight appliances. Its ceilings are quite high, giving it a nice sense of scale, and the requisite slab marble countertops are quite thick. The marble backsplash behind the commercial-grade stove enhances the feeling of spaciousness, and an eight-seat island looks invitational.
The outdoor living area features a wrap-around terrace, a summer kitchen, and a pool and spa. The grounds extend to a little less than .4 acre, with landscaping that is a work-in-progress; the streetside palms may be mature, but their root systems are not, quite yet.
Iglesias and Kournikova welcomed twins late last year. They have been together since 2001, and own a 20,000 square-foot waterfront in Bay Point.
