Luxury automaker Land Rover is celebrating the debut of its updated Range Rover Evoque with a special Zenith timepiece. They’re also calling especial attention to the partnership of the two brands, even as the ink dries on direct competitor Bentley’s partnership agreement with Breitling.

Land Rover and Zenith have previously worked on two limited-ed RR-inspired watches, but now they’re sealing a deal for a whole series. First up is the Zenith Defy Classic Range Rover Edition. Designed specially to honor the launch of the new luxury SUV, the wristwatch shares style inspiration with the all-new 2020 Range Rover Evoque.

Some collaboration pieces can get a bit kitschy, but this watch’s sleek openwork dial design allow it to stand confidently on its own terms. The 41mm case is made from lightweight brushed titanium, and is paired with a sapphire caseback.

Interested customers will enjoy subtle nods to the Evoque with elements like a diamond motif on the rubber strap that is similar to the upholstery found inside the SUV. Additionally, the caseback features a delicate “Range Rover” engraving.

As expected form any Zenith timepiece, the watch is impeccably crafted with the Elite Calibre 670 automatic movement boasting 48 hours of power reserve.

Just 200 examples of the Zenith Defy Classic Range Rover Edition watch will be available, at $7,500 apiece.
