$30K per night adds up mighty fast, even for those who know many of the street names of Aspen, Colorado by rote. But the accommodations will sleep 34, there’s a baseball diamond under the fresh snow that is falling right at this moment, and there are three hot tubs to recline in when the snowball games are over and the sunset is imminent.
The by all accounts unpretentious actor never named the place, but the property extends to 160 acres, with a main house and two guest houses situated at judicious distances from one another amid the forest, lake and river.
The homes features interiors that are suitably rustic, but not contrived; overall, the living style feels authentic. Details include timber frame construction, tongue-and-groove, plank floors, and raw stone countertops.
Behind the main house is a whopper of a sledding hill, which could come in handy if the rental price doesn’t preclude a madcap holiday jaunt with the kids. The views, of course, are stunning, with a postcard vista around every corner.
This isn’t the first time the property has been available as a rental, although the terms have changed slightly. Just last year, the actor, producer and director offered it for lease at $650K per month. His 10-acre slice of coastal Carpinteria, California also hit the market in 2017, with an initial ask of $60 million; that property is now for sale at $49 million.
