Actor Jesse Bradford is looking to move on from his Los Angeles-area modern-style for $3 million.
The “Shooter” actor picked up the mid-century marvel for $1.85 million in 2013. Located in the Hollywood Hills above Laurel Canyon, the 1950s-era home was purchased partially updated and gently restored.
Since his purchase, Bradford seems to have put some work into updating the 3,200-square-foot residence. Originally designed by famed L.A. architect Richard Dorman, the home maintains many of its original elements, but now looks quite spruce.
The house features the open-concept living space so favored in mid-century designs as a community enhancement. Walls of floor-to-ceiling glass windows, shallow exposed wood ceilings, stone floor tiles, and a double-sided masonry fireplace also help to carry the classic atomic-age look.
The white-and-gray kitchen with its snack counter, long peninsula, and modern stainless steel appliances has seen an update, but not a cruel one. The home’s wet bar and wood accents are lovely, but it’s the transparency and blurring of interior/exterior demarcation that appeals; a bright and optimistic living style.
In the backyard, a brick terrace and a large swimming pool provide opportunities to relax outdoors.
