Pro basketballer Tyler Johnson just handed off his Miami suburb mansion to a buyer for $4.35 million.

Johnson paid $4.85 million for the Pinecrest, Florida, home in 2016 shortly after signing a $50-million contract with the Heat. The sprawling six-bedroom, 8.5-bathroom villa was custom built but ultimately sold at a loss.

The house is extremely formal, relying on materials, space and familiar luxury design tropes for expression. In that way, it covers a lot of ground. Arches a-plenty, marble floors, soaring paneled ceilings, fireplaces, an elevator, ornamental ceilings, decorative wall niches, inlaid floors, and a variety of window shapes. The home contains two kitchens, with one presumably used for catering.

The outdoor living space is extensive, palm-dotted and landscaped in an extremely groomed style. A loggia and a seemingly unending terrace and patio space surrounds the pool and raised spa. And, of course, a half-court for practice or one-on-one.

Johnson has been with the Miami Heat since he went pro in 2014.
