This week Breitling and Bentley took another step in their mutually beneficial long-term collaboration.
The two lifestyle brands have been enhancing one another for about 15 years, but are working toward a more permanent relationship. This month, Breitling CEO Georges Kern verified the move: “Bentley and Breitling share so many values. Both companies are known for quality, performance, and design excellence, and both can build on powerful historical legacies.”
The progression’s recent milestone goes a long way to galvanizing the marketing cross-pollination. Breitling will fluidly incorporate limited Bentley edition timepieces in their watch lineup rather than offering “Breitling for Bentley” capsule collections. Customers can expect to see the introduction of the Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Bentley British Racing Green for a first entry.
The new watch boasts Breitling’s Manufacture Caliber 01 in-house mechanical movement, on display via a transparent caseback. A 70-hour power reserve and engraved accents including a “Bentley” plate inspired by the 1929 “Blower” Bentley’s dashboard are other notable features of the watch.
Bentley and Breitling first collaborated in 2003, when the watchmaker developed the unique clock for the Continental GT.
