High-end German automaker Alpina‘s introduction of its B4 S Bi-Turbo Edition 99 might be the crown jewel in the illustrious company’s storied career. As usual, the company’s offering is quite pricey, and very limited.
The Edition 99 boast the increased performance and artfully intense cosmetics that characterize the Alpina approach. The Edition 99 vehicles get power from the B4’s twin-turbo 3.0-liter straight six engine, but the drivetrain is enhanced by a new lightweight Akrapovic titanium exhaust system, resulting in the reduction of 15 pounds. Power production sits at 445 hp and 501 lb-ft of torque.
The Edition 99 cars are outfitted with a limited-slip differential. Alpina’s Sports Suspension Plus and modified adjustable dampers also tweak the performance profile. The coupe can reach 62 MPH in 3.9 seconds, with the convertible a tenth of a second behind it.
There are several exterior customization options with paint colors like Fire Orange and Grigio Medio. The Edition 99’s look is enhanced by 20-inch Alpina Classic wheels and luxe interior styling with hand-stitched leather and Alcantara.
Available to order for German customers, the all-new Alpina B4 S Bi-Turbo Edition 99 coupe starts at $85K. The convertible base stickers at $92K.
Limited to just 99 examples for each body style.
