Tony Hale listed his his charming Los Angeles-area home this month. The actor is looking for $1.7 million for the property.

The Emmy-winning “Veep” star and his wife—Emmy-winning make-up artist Martel Thompson Hale—picked up the Los Feliz home for $1.35 million in 2005. Following a brief and unproductive stint on the market at $1.8 million in 2016, the pair decided to rent it out for the short term at about $7,000 a month, but recently re-listed it in hopes of a definitive solution.

The four-bedroom, three-bath Colonial dates to the 1930s. It measures 2,200 square feet, and contains a series of evocative traditional elements and a modernized galley kitchen. It’s an unpretentious home, set off from the start by a brick walk and a bright yellow front door, and gradually developing into a living style that is appealingly uncluttered.

Standout spaces include the stair gallery, the dining room, and the living room, which boasts a whitewashed brick fireplace. Crown molding and dark hardwood floors blend well with the modern light and airy aesthetic.

The property exterior is as simple and charming, with a brick terrace presided over by a prominent pergola, and an outdoor fireplace giving way to a lawn bordered by mature trees and shrubs.
