NBA Star Penny Hardaway Takes a Loss on South Florida Home After Nearly a Decade of Ownership

Retired NBA pro Penny Hardaway recently passed on his South Florida home to a new owner for $2.5 million.

Unfortunately, the former point guard sold the property at a loss considering he paid $3.6 million for the home back in 2009. Hardaway—who is now the coach of the Memphis Tigers—was ready to move on, even after he failed to earn anywhere close to his original $3.7-million ask.

The six-bedroom, 7.5-bath Pinecrest residence impresses with large living spaces and a number of luxurious accents. Beyond the living room with its soaring ceiling, built-in shelves, and grand fireplace, the extra-large chef’s kitchen also stands out with tons of counter space.

Ideal for entertaining, the new owners will surely enjoy additional spaces like the family room, dining room, office, playroom, and movie theater. Appropriately, there is also a basketball court outside, in addition to patio space and a swimming pool.
