After Closing on $3.1M Sale, ‘Judge Mathis’ Star Greg Mathis Picks Up Bel Air Contemporary for $4.1M

“Judge Mathis” star Greg Mathis just ruled in favor of a Bel Air home.

Following the sale of his Mediterranean-style Tarzana home for $3.1 million, the TV judge moved on to this contemporary L.A. home, spending a bit more in the process: $4.1 million. The architecture of the two residences is fairly divergent, so perhaps Mathis was looking to shake up his style.

The ultra-modern is a recent build, and a tasteful one. The interiors are bright and airy, with excellent scale and plentiful glass and natural light. The spaces are accented with light-colored, matte-finished plank oak floors that contrast well against the black metal railings and modern-style geometric preoccupation. Completely minimalist in style, the high-end kitchen is sleek white and accented only by Italian stone and stainless steel appliances.

The living room is simply styled but wows with a wall of glass sliders that open to a balcony beyond. The four-bedroom, four-bath home continues its modern, minimalist look through to the master suite with its large windows, white walls, and floor-to-ceiling fireplace. The chevron-pattern oak in the master bath is refreshingly individual.

The judge will also surely enjoy the indoor-outdoor living spaces that lead out to a swimming pool and spa.

“Judge Mathis” is currently in its twentieth season.
