2016 World Champion racecar driver Nico Rosberg is one of the lucky few guaranteed to receive one of the highly anticipated Mercedes-AMG One hypercars.
The retired Formula 1 driver is one of several pros to have signed up for an AMG One, and recently revealed that he is in the process of customizing his model and is about a year away from delivery. In case you haven’t heard, the AMG One is Mercedes-AMG’s take on an ultra-luxurious F1-inspired hypercar. At present, it is the most acute expression of a Mercedes performance car.
Apart from details at its unveiling at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show last year, little is known about the AMG One project. In a video posted to his Youtube Channel, Rosberg comments on the vehicle’s F1-style steering wheel, paddles, and lowered racing-style seat position.
As far as the specs of this particular One, the revered racer asked viewers for customization suggestions, so the exact details are still to be decided. Even though Rosberg will be one of the first recipients of the AMG One, it looks like we’ll have to wait until next autumn to see the final product.
